Productivity app
Concept studyProject 1
A little less chaos. A lot more focus.
A workspace concept for bringing tasks, projects, and the next big idea together.

THE IDEA
Project overview
Orbit is a productivity workspace concept that brings projects and daily tasks into one calm, focused view. The aim is to help someone decide what to do next without making them manage another complicated system.
The problem
Tasks often end up scattered across notes, messages, and separate project boards. A useful workspace needs to connect the small actions of today with the larger project they belong to, while keeping the interface easy to scan.
The proposed approach
The concept starts with a workspace overview, a short list of active projects, and a clear distinction between work in progress and completed tasks. A quiet visual hierarchy puts task names and status ahead of charts or decoration.
What the experience could do
Technical direction
A proposed architecture for taking the concept into development.
Next.js + TypeScript
The proposed interface uses typed project and task models, with routes for workspace summaries and individual projects.
Supabase
A potential data model connects users, workspaces, projects, and tasks. Access policies would restrict each workspace to its members.
Reliable updates
Task updates should show progress, handle failures explicitly, and preserve a user's input if saving fails.
Decisions that matter
- Make task status readable without relying on color alone.
- Keep the overview useful on a narrow mobile screen.
- Start with a small personal workflow before adding team permissions or collaboration.
Where it goes next
This is an interface concept, not a released application. Next steps would be validating the daily workflow, implementing persistence and access controls, and testing task creation and updates with real users.
